Upcoming ArbOS Upgrade for Plume Testnet


We’re excited to announce the rollout of ArbOS 40 (Callisto) and ArbOS 51 (Dia) on Plume Testnet on Mon Feb 02 2026 07:30:00 UTC. This upgrade brings key improvements aligned with Ethereum's Pectra and Fusaka upgrades, respectively.
What’s Included

• ArbOS40:

  • EIP-7702 – Set EOA account code - Native Account Abstraction!

  • EIP-2537 – BLS12-381 precompile support - Cheaper zkSNARKS, cross-chain interactions, randomness beacons, and vector commitments

  • EIP-2935 – Historical block hash access - Enabler for stateless clients

• ArbOS51:

  • Unlocks the path to enabling Native Token Mint/Burn capabilities

  • EIP-7825 - Transaction gas limit cap - More efficient gas usage

  • Bunch of precompiles/opcode changes that make cryptographic operations cheaper and more efficient in the EVM.

Required Actions
No action required if you don't run external nodes.
If you are running external nodes, you must upgrade your Nitro node's version to atleast v3.9.3 but v3.9.5 (release link) is recommended. Also make sure the flag `--node.staker.enable=false` is configured on your node.
